This being the week that we are studying in the Come Follow Me lesson Hebrews 7 - 13, I am reminded that the JST of Hebrews 11:1 " Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The word substance is translated to assurance.
I taught seminary this past Tuesday and taught on Hebrews 11. The lesson pointed out that our understanding on faith should have us look at Hebrews 11:1 like this -
Faith in Jesus Christ is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen which are true.
