Many of you might know that Beverly Cleary celebrated her 100th birthday April 12th . I have loved many of Cleary's books. I remember when we lived in NY our friend Leon Archibald asked Ian to write a letter to Beverly Cleary, I wish I could have made a copy of that letter, but I do know that Ian's letter was selected to be read by Cleary and according to Leon she enjoyed Ian's letter. My favorite book by Cleary is Henry Huggins(1950).
