4. Booknesting
5. Bookish Behaviour
6. Rapacious Readers
7. Buying Books
8. Borrowing, Lending and Sharing
9. What to Read and How
10. Reviewers and Reviewing
11. Enemies of Books
12. Bookish Vices
13. Things to Do with Books
14. Loss
15. The Landscape of Books

"To read good books is like holding a conversation with the most eminent minds of past centuries and, moreover, a studied conversation in which these authors reveal to us only the best of their thoughts."
- Rene Descartes, Discourse on Method (1637)
"Condemn me not because of mine imperfection,... but rather give thanks unto God that he hath made manifest unto you our imperfections, that ye may learn to be more wise than we have been." Mormon 9:31

But in reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do.

(C.S. Lewis, An Experiment in Criticism)
When God can do what he will with a man, the man may do what he will with the world.     ~George MacDonald
