Confronting the Myth of Self-Esteem: Twelve Keys to Finding Peace

Post by Tuly »

Confronting the Myth of Self-Esteem: Twelve Keys to Finding Peace by Ester Rasband. I read this book twenty years ago and again two weeks. I met sister Rasband 20 years ago and was impressed by her subject matter (not related to Elder Rasband). I appreciate how Rasband handles the subject of self-esteem and I agree with her in many ways -and that is that we should think of others more than ourselves, keep the commandments and seek the will of God to be directed in whom to serve and be confident with our relationship with Him. With self-esteem in mind, I like her use of the scripture found in Jeremiah 45:5 - "And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not."
I did enjoy this book.
"Condemn me not because of mine imperfection,... but rather give thanks unto God that he hath made manifest unto you our imperfections, that ye may learn to be more wise than we have been." Mormon 9:31
