Re: Circumcision

oops that was webMD http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/what-about-circumcision My apologies for mixing the two up. webMD says, "An uncircumcised penis is easy to care for and keep clean. So improved hygiene isn't a reason to choose circumcision" Steve, Given the context I don't think its a sl...

Re: Circumcision

The AAP says, “An uncircumcised penis is easy to care for and keep clean. So improved hygiene isn't a reason to choose circumcision" CORRECTION This statement was made by WebMD and found on their baby circumcision page. Ian, who also referenced the AAP, said, "as a matter of health and hyg...

WEBMD “When is circumcision done? Circumcision is usually performed on the first or second day after birth. (Among the ...

Re: Interesting people in music

At least one Japanese person finished cleaning with a triumphant chord using very little of his or her lung capacity. Smart Japanese people in music do it themselves. Smarter Japanese people in music use tools.

Re: Evolution

"I wonder if maybe the applied sciences are of greater value than the theoretical sciences, recognizing, of course that to a certain extent you can't have one without the other." Personally I'd say they are equal but different, though there are probably a higher number of jobs in the "...

Re: Evolution

Of course i am not surprised they quoted Einstein. I put that in sort of like a joke because of the original reaction to my quoting from all of these less worthy secular sources. yes they worked in different branches of science, but given the topic of the article I don't think that really matters. I...

Re: Evolution

When I brought up Einstein, Edward said, "Einstein, while a good man, was no prophet, and in every case, even if we are too spiritually obstinate to accept it, the word of the Prophet supersedes any of the wise, the learned, or the lauded of men." Now a church publication quoted him! I now...

Re: Gun Control

Andy hall said the following on face book the other day. It is the start of a good discussion on gun violence including input from our very own Besty. Here is how he started it: I am a firm believer in an expansive interpretation of the Second Amendment. BUT: that there is any kind of weapon that th...

Re: Gun Control

Steve said "I will add that I still do try to view the world in "black and white." You don't have to try to commit logical fallacy. It just happens. Unless you do try, in which case the conversation goes, to an even greater degree, as my friend says it would. At 44 pages and counting,...
