Re: The Family: A Proclamation to the World
Correct. There are no intersex spirits. The gender of our spirits cannot change. And I'm not sure anyone in the discussion believes in a baby "it" or that gender is a choice??? Edward, I think what Ian is arguing, noting that this thread is an extension of a conversation we initiated while...

Re: The Family: A Proclamation to the World
Thank you, Ian. Yes, I understand, sustain, and am grateful for the Family Proclamation. It is, as you said, for everyone. In reference to my comment about intersex bodies, perhaps we might ask what is meant by being "created in the image of God," and discuss why the things you shared from...

Re: When Does A Prophet Speak As A Prophet?
It is hard for me to understand why anyone turns to other voices on the internet without first turning to the voices in the scriptures or the voices of the living prophets and apostles. ... I repeat, unless the people of the world, and especially America, turn their hearts back to God and His teach...

Re: The Family: A Proclamation to the World
Thanks, Ian! These are great resources, but they do not address instances where Heavenly Father's children are born with intersex bodies—much faith must be exercised by those individuals. Surely, they remain male or female as distinct, eternal beings, but mortality may provide them with faith-demand...

Re: The Family: A Proclamation to the World
When we speak plainly of divorce, abuse, gender identity, contraception, abortion, parental neglect, we are thought by some to be way out of touch or to be uncaring. Some ask if we know how many we hurt when we speak plainly. Do we know of marriages in trouble, of the many who remain single, of sin...

Re: When Does A Prophet Speak As A Prophet?
This humanistic emphasis on history is not confined only to secular history; there have been and continue to be attempts made to bring this philosophy into our own Church history. Again the emphasis is to underplay revelation and God’s intervention in significant events and to inordinately humanize...

Re: This Website
I noticed that this web site has begun stripping spacing between quotes and surrounding paragraphs.
And here is the line after a quote. Notice the compression. This affects old posts as well. Did this come about with a new phpBB version? This is an example.
