For Sham was the renowned Godolphin Arabian, whose blood flows through the veins of almost very superior thoroughbred. Sham's speed -- like his story -- has become legendary.

King of the Wind: The Story of the Godolphin Arabian by Marguerite Henry. Henry, has written many books about horses. I'm not what you would call a horse book lover, however, this is a lovely book . King of the Wind was a Newbery Medal Winner. I wish I could put a picture of the cover of the book, like my lovely Jane can. Here is a short synopsis of the book.
"Condemn me not because of mine imperfection,... but rather give thanks unto God that he hath made manifest unto you our imperfections, that ye may learn to be more wise than we have been." Mormon 9:31
