It must be nice to've--as a teenager--created something (nearly 40?) years ago that two dudes sitting in a car in Tacoma, Washington--today--commemorate.
You're a star.
Happy birthday.

Thank you.
Jason, thank you especially. I find the expression on Mother's and Dad's faces particularly moving. I remember being so deeply aware of the sureness of their faith. It forever comforts me.
I'm thrilled to have this photo.
And yes, Edward, I'm on the far right.
The names, Huntingtons all, but one, from left to right: George, Nancy Taylor, Jason, Grace, Roy, Geoffrey, Stephen, John

Betsy is not pictured because she had just given birth and was indisposed...as was--come to think of it--Robert, but at the opposite end of the spectrum of indisposition.
I noticed simply the drastic contrast in expression between parents and children including Nancy. I beg your pardon, but I remember that moment; whatever their motivations, I don't think Mom and Dad's smiles were any more an expression of their faith than our frowns (and my effort to wipe a smile off my face) were an expression of our lack of faith.
But hey, it's *your* birthday...
Would you like to have the original print?

Sorry, bro,
My intent was not to draw any comparison. Sorry if that seemed implied. I simply was drawn to my gratitude for two good parents. Actually, I felt at the time that we were unified in our faith. And I remember the young you as well with great fondness. I always loved your seeming good cheer.
And I would LOVE to have a hard copy of the print.

Lately, I've reflected too that--whatever their imperfections--they at least exposed us to the gospel. Good on you and Tuly for doing the same for yours.
