Ian, I had "Happy Birthday" wishes for you on my mind all day yesterday, without a chance to follow through with the actual greeting. I suspect your birthday was well-deservedly happy, though.
It was surely a blessed day for me. Learning you and your dad had found Dorothy Rondot/Dorothea Blanchette (Blanchette)'s ancestry was a HUGE gift. I've been praying fervently for that discovery. I thought one of us may have to go to Canada eventually to find it, or at least engage in some lengthy correspondence. I'd gotten so far as to learn the name of the city where Belle Rivoire's records had been maintained. So instead of a gift from me to you, it went the other way, with one that will always be associated in my mind with your birthday. My heart was racing all day yesterday, and I'm still in joyous shock! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
