Re: The Name of the Team
What? A measly decury? There may be many more than just ten of us, father. But it's a good name, though very akin to S.H.I.E.L.D. If we can find a better word for the D, I'd be game. Though it does rather make us a governmental response unit than a family organization. But then again, is that the direction we want?

Re: The Name of the Team
Well, now that we know our purpose, I've got a name suggestion:Our team is dedicated to protecting the world from those who would use their abilities to conquer it, be those supernatural powers or the mechinations of evil men and women. We have been blessed with powers beyond those of common humanity, and regard it as our privilege to use them to combat the evil and inhumane actions of those who threaten both the free and the good. Ultimately, we seek to establish peace and prosperity so that we can use our powers to serve the world, bettering it through the unique talents we possess. We firmly believe and understand that those who use their powers to pursue their own selfish ambitions hinder others from using their gifts for good, just as they hinder the free and noble progression of mankind. As supernaturally gifted individuals, it is our duty to battle those evils which we, though our powers, can prevent. As long as we can combat their sinister and insidious ways, we feel it is our responsibility to do so. Thus, our organization is at the disposal of any government, organization, people or individual whose need is just, though we maintain no official connection to any save those which we choose to establish. We are not exclusively contracted to any entity but our own. Nevertheless, we are loyal and law-abiding citizens, and will labor for any cause which is good and equitable, especially those sacred laws which have been established to preserve the freedom and dignity of man. We will protect the people and preserve peace and justice, and our body is commited to the perpetuity of virtue in whatever lands we dwell.

Re: The Name of the Team
See, this is why you're the villain. I spend a good ten minutes of my life writing what could easily be considered the superhero equivalent of the declaration of independence, and you shoot it down like it was some, some JOKE! You mockers! You meanies!
It's not very nice.

Re: The Name of the Team
Anyway, what about the team name? Is it possible that we could actually come to some agreement about this rather than just perpetuating the pointless conversations about it? How can we actually come to some decision?

Re: The Name of the Team
Give us three alternatives and take votes:
Have everyone rank the choices in order of preference, 1 to 3, and the name with the lowest score wins.
(By the way, a decury is not limited to ten. It is used also in a general way to identify any class or group of a society: "Engineers", "peasants", "Artists", "the Judiciary", "the Aristocracy", etc. etc.... And what is it that implies a governmental tie?)

Re: The Name of the Team
Have everyone in the team contribute one word and then we'll combine the words into a unified team name! Yeah! That's a great idea!
My contribution: "macadamia"

Re: The Name of the Team
sounds like the young women values. at the beginning of your team meetings, you can all stand up in unison and with monotone voices recite your values, i.e. macadamia, tenacity, verbosity, etc. etc.
so let it be written... so let it be done.
Re: The Name of the Team
o.k. that's it!! - we are sounding like the C.Y.N.I.C.S. - let's come up with a simple name like the family?!!
