Joan of Arc

Post by Tuly »

I just read Joan of Arc - Her Story by Regine Pernoud and Marie-Veronique Clin translated by Jeremy Duquesnay Adams. Speaking of Disney movies step aside Mulan, this is the quinticential female hero to learn about and Joan is real. I have an incredible appreciation for this young martyr . If any young women need to have a female hero, I would choose Joan. She had high virtuous standards, hence she was also know as Joan the Maid. She gave all credit to saving France to God. The army she led were expected to live by her virtuous standards. Did she really hear voices that led her to save France and crown King Charles VII?, I would say she did!
